Hello!

I haven't updated this blog in a wee (long) while so here are some images from the last few projects we did in 1st year:

✷ DR SYN ✷

A follow up project from a trip to Pontins/ Camber Sands, based on text Dr Syn: A Tale of the Romney Marsh by Russell Thorndyke.

I created three A2 posters promoting the novel, using imagery from the text combined with observational drawings done during the trip.

✷ AUTHOR/ AUTHOR GENESIS ✷

Author began with research into our basic needs
as individuals.

We then used this research to develop a Being that encompassed these needs, ideas for Being were developed into a costume that embodied five specific needs.

We performed an embarrassing catwalk and paraded our costumes about, then got into groups for the next stage of the project: making a film and printed manifesto that would present our group's world and values based off our combined needs. We created the Fun Time Party Gang and we stood for militant action against frowning and grumpiness. It was super fun!

Here is our finished risograph manifesto:

And here's some snaps from filming + production of the manifesto:

Our film is here.

+ here is our final show space!

✷ BIOGRAPHY ✷

For our final project of 1st year was a biography of a famous person who's name we chose at random. I got Sandi Toksvig.

Presenting... the SANDIWICH:
